Ye Olde town of London transforms over the coming week as many of the clubs and classes take the chance to challenge their patrons (you) to enjoy the Halloween celebrations. When preparing your costumes make sure you are able to dance and from personal experience don't use cheap face makeup unless you want to end up all streaky.

As in a standard week, if a strange ghost or a vampire asks you for a dance, say yes and experience a magical minute or 5.

This Saturday's choice of big salsa nights out include the Godalming Halloween Salsa party, the Putney last Saturday night of the month party plus Salsatricity's combined 12th birthday with a halloween bash in Barnet.

Brand new to the London salsa scene is Salsa Kings Cross, where Streetbeat offer their successful Salsa Rapido method of learning to dance in a fun manner.

Next to the river, Bar Salsa Temple offers salsa and bachata on Monday and Tuesday nights, with lessons from 7pm and dancing till late.

If bachata is your bag, then Wednesday night in Aldgate with Tamara's ladies styling lessons?

The capital's longest running salsa club night, including lessons and party till 2pm remains Metrolatina at Bar Salsa Soho on Wednesdays.
