If you haven't visited recently, you really should, as it is only possible to fit in a fraction of the options and there are new jewels added by the hosts every week..

London has a plethora of great events for dancers of all levels, whether Xbody, cuban, colombian and there are bachata and kizomba options.

With only 9 months to plan, you would have thought that Kate and William would have pretty much decided a couple of name options? Congratulations on the baby boy but come on let's have a name. Feel free to be modern and call him Salsa Windsor.

You can warm up for this weekend at the once a month Pexava after-work Thursday salsa social at Conway Hall in Holborn. Top DJs, a perfect dance floor, plenty of free water and snacks along with some of the best dancers in London make this an ideal night out.

Iris De Brito offers London Salsa members a £2 discount on a new spot to dance, chill, listen to good music and learn Kizomba & Semba each Thursday on Clapham High Street. No partner needed/beginners welcome.

Fancy lessons and a social for Friday, then try Putney salsa club, where you are sure to find a decent night out.

A big shout out this week for Ruth's salsa and kizomba event this Friday in Norbury.  There is an absolute beginners salsa lesson, a salsa/semba animation followed by a kizomba lesson and party.

Caramelo in Paddington not only provide a 1-Day Intensive Salsa Beginners Course but also a 1-Day Intensive Bachata Beginners Course. Both are perfect for those that have to work all week and want to learn efficiently with some fun and smiles this Saturday.

A huge choice of Saturday evening entertainment includes this week a salsa dinner and dance in Islington with Salsa Tropical.  I've heard that a very special batch of seafood paella starts it's journey on Friday at the early morning fish market.  Sounds to me like the perfect way to make new friends and socialise.

There is £2 off the advertised prices for London Salsa members wishing to join the social dancing portion of the evening.

Up in Barnet, salsa, kizomba and bachata lessons precede the late night party to celebrate Heather's birthday.

In Guildford, quote London Salsa for £2 off the live salsa band night.

With performances from Laith Sami and Colleen Daniels, the Salsa Calientita party in Slough starts with 2 levels of bachata class whilst DJ Clay and DJ Stannerz aim to keep you moving till 1am.

On Sunday I spy a 3-hour semba in style workshop near Piccadilly that is followed by a 3 hour social. 

Bar Salsa in Soho is the venue for Sunday's spins workshop with Alastair from Streetbeat. Starting at 11.30am and continuing till 5pm, with a 30 minute break for lunch, this is aimed at intermediate plus levels. Even better, you get a £5 discount by quoting London Salsa.

Salsa and bachata lessons for beginners upwards can be found in Wimbledon each Monday.

May, being a new month, brings a new 5-week absolute beginners course in West London, Northfields, on Tuesday, where the Pexava team will introduce all the basic steps and the art of partnership dancing.

Bar Salsa, Temple, offers a free intro to dance session before the main salsa and bachata lessons and late night dance party.

For central London, Metrolatina is based at Bar Salsa in Soho each Wednesday. Not only do they offer a free intro to salsa session to begin the night but there are classes for all levels before the social.

Hammersmith salsa club always has a lively social after their 6 levels of salsa classes.

Wednesday is the start of monthly courses, all levels, in Salsa, Mambo, Cha Cha, and Kizomba in Paddington with Caramelo.

They have an eye-watering special offer that means that you can combine these lessons with Salsa, Bachata and Styling courses on Thursday.

And that is a mere fraction of the activities you can find on our sites this coming week.

Looking ahead, I recommend booking early for the Thames Salsa Cruise on 13th May,  Tickets often run out for this tremendously enjoyable 4-hour combination of sightseeing and dancing.

There is also earlybird value (till May 1st) for the Spring Spectacular Scalalatina allnighter in Kings Cross on Bank Holiday Sunday 27th May, featuring African Jet from Italy and our own Kat & Eddie. (there is sure to be 20+ workshops in all your favourite dances from top teachers, international and home grown, along with a 6am finish).
